Hello!  During this time of closure, I will be adding different links, videos, and ideas to help you and your child pass the time in a fun and productive way!! Please feel free to reach out to me at any time at or 570-439-2662, with any questions or concerns.

Let your child know that I miss them and can't wait to see them again!  I had emailed everyone and shared that I would also be an email pen-pal to anyone that would like to write to me.  I have had a couple responses to that and have loved the letters.  Feel free to also send photos or anything that the kids want to share with me.  That has been very heartwarming so far!

I am attaching a video on how to use your Scrabble game to play a making words game with your child.  I had a student send me a picture of him trying it out!  He had seen my video on Facebook and already tried it.  I will be attaching a new one by the end of the week.
THURSDAY (3/26):  Check out that cereal box or snack box!  Write your alphabet on paper vertically, giving each letter its own line.  Then, go on a word hunt!  Find a word that starts with each letter in the alphabet and copy the word(s) next to the letter it starts with on your paper.  Find those sight words and learn some new words!  Read the words with someone in your family.  I have attached a video to help explain how to do it.  Have fun!

FRIDAY(3/27/2020): Count it out!!  Lets do a silly math activity today!  Since we are at home with our family, let's see how many eyes, ears, arms, legs, fingers, toes, and mouths we all have in the house!  Don't forget your pets!  You can use repeated addition or multiplication to figure this out.  I have my husband, two boys, and three pets at the house, so I can multiply 2 by 7 to get 14 eyes or I can do repeated addition of 2+2+2+2+2+2+2 = 14!!!  Be creative and draw a picture to show how many of each body part that you have in your house.  Enjoy!

Please don't stress over school and embrace this time with family.  Reading, playing games, and making memories that will last a lifetime is the important focus.
